MOTHER NATURE AT WORK …
Spring Trails begins reforestation project!
10/21/05
HOUSTON, Texas - Spring Trails' enduring commitment to nature has spurred a reforestation project which will begin in October, 2005. Midway Residential Vice President, Jimmy Pappas stated "With trees being the backbone of the environmental draw to this community, it only makes sense to replace what was lost during phases of road construction in order to restore the natural beauty of this area." Therefore, Spring Trails will transplant over 1,000 pine tree saplings along Spring Trails Bend to assist with reforesting the community back to its' original beauty. This process will involve planting the saplings in such a way to create natural "stands of trees" up and down the main thoroughfare through the community. Each "stand" will be designated with reforestation signage to clearly identify the area as a work in progress by Mother Nature and will be manicured by the expert herself in the coming months.
The environment will be impacted by this program, as well … according to The Michoacan Reforestation Project for each tree planted CO2 emissions are offset by 60lbs … so, due to the size of this project Spring Trails reforestation could offset CO2 emissions by 60,000lbs!
To help involve Spring Trails residents in the on-going reforestation process each homeowner will receive a pine tree sapling delivered to their home for planting. Homeowners can plant the tree on their property and feel that they too are involved with this beneficial reforestation project on a personal level. In addition, each resident prospect that visits the community through November 20 will receive a pine sapling at the Visitor's Center as a reminder of the natural beauty that makes Spring Trails The Forest of Possibilities where families can Live With Nature!
The master plan of Spring Trails includes 400 acres of forest and over 10 miles of nature trails to hike and bike that wind through the community connecting villages to various
amenities within Spring Trails that include a pond, pool, cabana and playground. Additional recreation centers and amenities, as well as two schools, are planned for the near future as the community continues to grow. Located in Conroe ISD, Spring Trails is a master plan of innovation as spacious homes peacefully coexist within heavily wooded surroundings. With meticulous community design, superior homes, outstanding educational opportunities and an unbeatable quality of life, Spring Trails represents 'The Forest of Possibilities' to all those who live there.
